This work of art is a 2001, Skunk Werkes Z06 Convertible Conversion. Designed and constructed by John Cafaro, (ex Corvette Chief Designer) and Henry Iovino (ex Corvette Engineer) of Skunk Werkes. The Skunk Werkes Z06 Conversion uses all the same O.E.M. convertible parts and design for that “Real Fast” open air feeling!
The Skunk Werkes Body Kit consists of the Rear Spoiler, Rockers, Body Side Strakes, Front Canards, and a High Rise Hood.
The Skunk Werkes Interior consists of re-designed Red Leather and Black Suede Steering Wheel, Shifter Boot, Park Brake Boot, and Seats with Simpson 5 restraints, while still retaining the original O.E.M. safety belts, Leather wrapped cosmetic bars, Carbon Fiber Door Panels, Brushed Nickel I/P and Center Console Trim, Short Throw Shifter with a Billet Shift Knob and a Billet Inside Rearview Mirror.
This car has also received a 100 HP Engine Upgrade by Katech, (the engine builders for the GM Racing program) which includes Heads, Cam, Headers, Throttle Body, Donaldson “Black Wing” Intake, Skunk Werkes designed, Corsa Titanium Exhaust System, and trip to the Dyno for optimal tuning! Additional exterior modifications include Baer Enhanced Brake Rotors, Lowered Suspension, and Chromed Wheels.
